Agroetanol TTD – Dobrovice Distillery

The Dobrovice bioethanol unit operated by Agroetanol TTD, a. s. is the first industrial waterless fermentation spirit (bioethanol) producing distillery in the Czech Republic. Bioethanol production was launched in October 2006. Since January, 2009, Agroetanol TTD has been the first CEE industrialist to supply E85 biofuel to the Czech market. The distillery’s annual production capacity amounting to 1 million hectolitres makes the unit the largest industrial distillery in the Czech Republic and the most modern distillery in the CEE.

Cukrovary a lihovary TTD had three driving forces that brought it to build the distillery: the support of its main shareholder – the French Tereos Group, the necessity to find new uses for sugar beet after the EU new sugar regime was implemented, and the possibility of multiple synergies with its Dobrovice sugar factory.

Thanks to the sugar factory/distillery synergy, Cukrovary a lihovary TTD, a.s. has thus been, since 2006, the leading beet-processing group in the Czech Republic. It aims at staying a strong, reliable and stable partner for Czech beet growers.
